Just go and get this. You won't regret it. Such a phenomenal dish. This place gets soooo packed so fast. I was lucky to have got there exactly at 5 otherwise I'd have to wait a while. The soup was sooo flavorful.
Second time here and the food was just as good as I remembered! Heads up, there can be a bit of a wait but when we came around 6pm the wait for 4 was only around 25 min. I appreciate that you sign up for the waitlist and will get a text and call when the table is ready. The soup dumplings are so good here and the crispy honey shrimp balls are not to be missed! They're unlike anything I've ever had and with delicious creamy, sweet sauce and perfect balances with crispy topping. The fried eggplant with pork was delicious and the tofu with crab was good but my least favorite out of the dishes we got. They do takeout and are BYOB.
TLDR: must get- homemade braised pork, pan fried pork juicy buns, crab meat and pork juicy buns, pork juicy buns and sautéed string beans. Homemade braised pork- flavorful, tender and melt in your mouth. Went perfectly with rice Pan fried pork juicy buns- perfectly pan fried and EXTREMELY juicy. Be careful of the hot liquid when take first bite Steam juicy buns- thin skin, flavorful soup and extremely generous filling. Be careful of hot liquid when taking first bite. Sauted string beans- perfectly sautéed with a nice wok aroma and generous portions of garlic. Came here during peak lunch time on a Saturday and it was a 1 hour wait. Upon being seated, we were imme asked what we wanted to order- without being afforded an opportunity to look at the menu. After asking for a few more minutes, the server just proceeded to stand over us and waited until we were ready (a bit too aggressive). The restaurant was very busy and loud. I do want to note that there are some food items that could be EXTREMELY pungent so beware if you have a tough time with pungent aromas. Food came out pretty quickly shortly after we ordered. Only negative experience was having the server hover over us until we ordered.
Service was a little slow and one of our servers kept forgetting to get us things like rice and water, but excellent food nonetheless. The taro in tofu skin was a strange dish that was a tad sweetish. The fish fillet in chili oil and cold noodles were delicious, as always.
This is our go to when we go to Edison! I think this year alone we've been back five times! Super authentic, fresh tasting dishes with various variety. Service is quick and efficient Restaurant is clean. We are from Florida and nothing quite competes with tasty moment.
